Amul paid tribute to KK (Krishnakumar Kunnath), who died of a massive heart attack on Tuesday night after performing at a concert in Kolkata.
The black and white pic shows KK performing at his last concert. “Yaaron…yaad aayenge ye pal” and “Alvida, KK. 1968-2022” was written on the chart, referring to their hit songs Pal and Alvida.
KK, 53, was performing at Kolkata’s Nazrul Mancha Auditorium for a university event when he fell ill. After the concert, he was rushed to a hospital as his health deteriorated.
However, he died of a heart attack on the way to the hospital. Amul celebrated his vast musical legacy in his latest topic.
Another Instagram user wrote: “We have not lost KK. We have lost:
1) Emraan Hashmi’s voice 2) Arijit’s idol 3) Heaven’s voice 4) Music Industry’s Rahul Dravid 5) Modern Kishore Kumar”.
Fans of the iconic singer have been flooding social media with heartfelt tribute posts remembering him and his evergreen songs.
Keeping up with the trajectory, dairy brand Amul has recently paid an emotional tribute to the singer with an animated doodle that they shared on their official social media handle.
KK rose to fame with his debut album Pal, which was released in April 1999.
Over the years, he has worked with musicians such as AR Rahman, Pritam Chakraborty, Lesle Lewis, and Himesh Reshammiya. KK gave various hit songs in Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali and Malayalam.
His funeral took place on Thursday at the Versova Hindu Cemetery in Mumbai.
