How long does it take to tint windows?

Normally, tinting the car’s window takes almost 3, to 4 hours. But before knowing how much time the process will take many factors should be considered because all these factors affect the time required for tinting. The important factor is the size of the window, the complexity of the design of the window, etc.

1. Size and Number of windows:

The most important factor that must be known before estimating the time is the size of the window. As small-sized windows take less time as compared to large ones.

Just like the size of the window, several windows to be tinted will also affect the time taken. If you want to tint more windows then more time will be required.

2. Removing the older tint:

Before applying the new tint old damaged tint film has to be removed. It also takes some time to remove the older tint film and make your window ready for applying the new one.

3. Type of material used for tinting:

The time taken for the tinting process also depends on which type of tint film is used, some types of materials dry quickly, but some take time to get dried completely.

4. Experience of the installer:

The time taken for the process of tinting depends on the experience of the installer. As there are some precautions, that should be taken to speed up the process. The most important is the appropriate cutting of tint film. For an experienced person, it’s not a tricky thing.

5. Skill of Installer:

Skilled people are experts and they tint windows in a few hours but if it’s done by some other person then the process will take more time. It’s better to get it done by skilled and experienced people.

6. Effect of Season:

The weather conditions have a large impact on the time taken to dry the tint film completely. You can face different weather conditions like summer, winter, or rainy weather. In every season time will be different.

7. Dry time:

After completing the process of applying tint on windows, now it’s time to let them dry properly. The time taken for drying depends on various circumstances like weather conditions, type of material applied, and some others.

You should avoid rolling the windows of your car for at least 48 hours because if they are not dried properly then they will get damage from the edges. For the next 24 after having tint on your window, prevent it from disposing into a dusty environment. It may also damage the tint.
