How to use the fancy text generator

    1. Type or paste your text into the box. Every style updates as you type.
    2. Pick a category, such as Bold, Cursive, Gothic or Bubble, to narrow the list, or scroll through All.
    3. Tap a style to copy it. Youโ€™ll see โ€œCopied!โ€ at the bottom of the screen.
    4. Paste it wherever you want it: a bio, a username, a caption, a comment or a message.

    How fancy text works

These arenโ€™t really fonts. Apps like Instagram donโ€™t let you change fonts, so the generator swaps each normal letter for a look-alike character from Unicode, the international standard that lists every character a phone or computer can display. Unicode includes complete alphabets of bold, italic, script, Gothic (Fraktur) and double-struck letters, originally created for mathematics. It also has circled, squared and full-width letters, and โ€œcombiningโ€ marks that draw lines through or under a letter. Because theyโ€™re standard characters rather than a font, they survive copy and paste and look the same on almost every device.

    • Bold and bold italic: to make a name or a key phrase stand out in an Instagram bio, a LinkedIn headline or an X post.
    • Cursive script: elegant and personal, and popular for names, wedding and beauty pages, and captions.
    • Old English (Gothic): a tattoo, metal or streetwear look, and a favourite for gaming names.
    • Bubble and squares: playful and eye-catching, good for short words and highlights.
    • Vaporwave (wide text) and small caps: the โ€œaestheticโ€ look on TikTok and Tumblr.
    • Strikethrough: for jokes and corrections, ~like this~ but in any app.
    • Glitch (Zalgo): creepy โ€œcursedโ€ text for Halloween, memes and horror content.
    • Decorated (๊ง ๊ง‚, โ˜…ๅฝก, โœฟ): ready-made frames for gaming names, Free Fire and PUBG profiles, and Discord servers.

    Will it work everywhere?

Most styles work on Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, Facebook, X, Discord, Telegram, YouTube comments and most games. A few things to know:

    • Usernames are stricter than bios. Many platforms only allow letters, numbers, dots and underscores in the username (the @handle), so fancy text usually works in the display name and bio but not the handle.
    • Some characters may show as boxes (โ˜) on older phones that lack the right symbols. Bold, italic, script and bubble are the most widely supported.
    • Search engines and screen readers may not read fancy letters as normal words. Avoid using them for important information, and keep your main keywords in plain text if you want people to find you in search.

Tips for using fancy text well

    • Use it to highlight, not for everything. One styled word or line stands out more than a whole styled paragraph.
    • Mix styles: for example, a cursive name with a bold tagline and a decorated frame.
    • Check how it looks on both iPhone and Android before using it on a business profile.
    • Keep accessibility in mind: people using screen readers may hear each letter read out as โ€œmathematical bold capital Aโ€.

    Frequently asked questions

Is this fancy text generator free?

Yes. Itโ€™s completely free with no sign-up or limits, and the text is converted in your own browser, so nothing you type is sent to a server.

How do I change the font in my Instagram bio?

Instagram doesnโ€™t let you choose fonts, but you can paste fancy text. Type your bio here, copy the style you like, then go to Edit profile in Instagram and paste it into the Bio or Name field.

Why do some fancy letters show as boxes or question marks?

The device or app viewing the text doesnโ€™t have that Unicode character. Bold, italic, cursive and bubble letters are the most widely supported. Rarer symbols may not display on older phones.

Can I use fancy fonts in my username?

Usually not in the @handle itself, because most platforms only allow letters, numbers, dots and underscores there. Fancy text normally works in your display name, bio, captions, comments and messages.

Is fancy text bad for SEO or accessibility?

It can be. Search engines may not match fancy letters to normal words, and screen readers can read them out character by character. Use fancy text for decoration and keep important words in plain text.

What is Zalgo or glitch text?

Zalgo text stacks many combining marks above and below each letter, so it looks distorted and โ€œcursedโ€. Itโ€™s popular for memes and horror themes, but very heavy versions can overlap nearby text in some apps.
